Featured Staff: Jacquis Watters

Hi there! My name is Jacquis Watters and I am currently serving as an intern in the Career Service office. Outside of Career Services, I hold the position of Assistant Resident Director of Xavier Global House at Seattle University and am pursuing my M.Ed in Student Development Administration here on campus. Prior to moving to Seattle, I received a degree in Women’s Studies from Hofstra University on Long Island, New York. Since enrolling at SU, I have been able to hone in on my interest areas and career path through internships, academics, and work experience. I strongly suggest every student take advantage of Career Services during the initial steps of plotting an individualized career plan. The staff here are well knowledgeable and very passionate about helping members of the SU community attain professional goals and highlight unique talents. I am excited to be a part of this fantastic team and hope to assist students in achieving success!

When you’re in the Air Force, you’re a part of a community that’s a lot like the communities you’ll find around the country. In fact, Air Force bases are basically self-contained cities with everything you need to live – from grocery stores to hospitals! The US Air Force will be visiting Seattle University on February 19th to tell students about an incredible opportunity with them, so come check it out!
Are you in the process of working towards a technical degree specifically computer engineering, electrical engineering or meteorology? If so, the Air Force has a great program that may be for you the Technical Degree Sponsorship Program (TDSP). It is an excellent way to earn money while you finish your education at your current University. Upon graduation, you will be commissioned as an officer and get started in an Air Force job that utilizes your technical skills. If you are looking for a life full of opportunity, where freedom and honor is a part of everything you do, the United States Air Force can help. Earn up to $3,200 per month to finish your electrical or computer engineering degree! After graduation, embark on a four-year Air Force career, learning the technical applications of your degree.
